When Lauren and Ross saw the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum in South Austin, they knew they had found their wedding venue. A beautiful, natural, and scenic place was where they imagined getting married in front of their friends and family.
The gardens were a lovely place for this intimate wedding and it suited the couple’s personality so perfectly. Ross and Lauren are the type of couple that is always laughing around each other and it is so evident that they connect on a deep level. Their joyful vibe, high-energy, and playful natures is shown in their wedding highlight video. Their friends and family match their vibe bringing speeches that were warm, funny, and full of affectionate jokes.
Lauren’s dad describes the newlyweds as a “fierce terrific couple.” It’s true and they also have great style, as you can see by the wedding decor, including the most epic wedding cake. The donut tower featuring the world famous Round Rock Donuts topped with a black icing tier and orange chrysanthemums was admired and enjoyed by the guests and the couple as they cut the cake and fed each other.
I love this wedding for so many reasons, including authentic moments like that and this gorgeous wedding venue.
In a peaceful area of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum, Lauren and Ross had an intimate and romantic first look. They read hand-written love letters to each other that created a sentimental, loving moment along with their signature laughs that came out as they shared their words to each other. Then we wandered the pretty gardens that were lush, green and full of artistic sculptures and garden features that make it an epic place for a wedding.
Lauren wore an elegant strapless bridal gown with a luxury tiara and pearl bridal accessories. She carried a bright bouquet of orange and white florals and the color theme was continued in the ceremony florals and decorations. Ross looked stylish in a designer gray suit and buttonhole with a splash of orange to match the bouquet. Together they looked stylish, modern, and totally in love – the perfect couple! Their wedding party was dressed in black and teamed with the orange florals, the vibe was edgy and chic.
The ceremony was under a wooden archway already part of the gardens. It was decorated with orange hanging flowers making the perfect backdrop for Ross and Lauren to exchange their wedding vows. It was a joyous and meaningful ceremony with some tears and plenty of laughter, of course! They promised to love and support each other and remain best friends. The ceremony was sealed with a kiss and a huge hurrah from the guests!
While the guests enjoyed cocktail hour, we captured some gorgeous footage of the whole bridal party around the Umlauf Sculpture Garden grounds. As an Austin Texas wedding videographer, I love this venue. There are just so many scenic areas for wedding cinematography that I could happily shoot there all day long!
We had to get the bridal party back to the reception set up for dinner with black linens, orange florals and lighting that was already starting to twinkle as the sun went down.
Lauren and Ross really put their stamp on the wedding decor and styling along with their Planner and Coordinator ACH Events. Everyone enjoyed great food and drinks while celebrating the night away with DJ Brian Weber keeping everyone on the dance floor. There was even a little breakdancing!
