The Top 3 Best Calendars for Collaborating with Friends, Family, and Colleagues
Digital calendars are a great way to help maintain a proper work-life balance. In my monthly newsletter, I talk about three things I learn about love and legacy. A recent focus has been on intention and planning time to deliberately spend with your partner. Sharing your calendar with your partner makes planning time together easier, but it also opens up for you to be able to surprise each other when you know you’re both free.
On the other hand, if you find yourself struggling to keep up with all the meetings, phone calls, and events to do with your career, a calendar may be the answer. The ability to share your availability opens for you to also decline meetings and block out time for yourself. Regardless of why you use it, a calendar is a great organizational tool.
Google Calendar is one of the most popular and flexible calendars. It can be easily integrated into countless third party applications to help even more with staying organized and punctual. You can share your calendar with just one person or make it completely public. Check out all their options here.
If you’ve used Microsoft Teams, like many of us have over the past few years, you’ve likely seen Outlook Calendar before. All you need is an Exchange, Microsoft, or Outlook account. You can create folders within your calendar to separate work and personal– you can even go further and organize things based on projects. You can share your calendars with people inside and outside of your organization, see how to here.
For the Apple users out there, Apple iCloud calendar is the easiest because it’s automatically downloaded on your device! It enables you to color code events to aid with organization. There are various ways to share your calendar, depending on if you’re on mobile, Mac, or their website.
