The Proposal

William told Jance that they needed to take publicity photos since he was the new President of JDRF Houston. During the photoshoot, the photographer gave William the pre-planned cue and William got down on one knee to ask Jance to marry him! Jance was completely surprised and speechless. William asked a second time, and Jance enthusiastically said YES!

The Wedding

William and Jance chose to have their ceremony at Saint Mary Catholic Cathedral in Austin, TX because William’s family had a history of being married there. Their reception was held at Hotel ZaZa in the heart of downtown Austin. Hotel ZaZa is a truly enchanting destination that provides an exquisite backdrop for weddings and special occasions. This luxurious boutique hotel provided the essence of elegance and sophistication that William and Jance were looking for.

The evening was filled with elegance, but also several of William & Jance’s favorite things – a 360 photobooth, a sketch artist, fajitas, and breakfast tacos! The biggest surprise of all was when the Houston Rockets mascot Clutch made an appearance during the reception and danced with all the guests. It was William’s surprise for Jance and made for an amazing and memorable experience!

William & Jance’s love for each other was extremely evident – from their interactions when nobody was looking to how they comforted each other when all eyes were on them. William wrote his vows 30 days before the wedding because it just felt right. He had an unwavering certainty about Jance and could not have been more excited to marry the love of his life.
