Intimate Wedding at La Cantera Resort and Spa | Christopher and Lindsey
Christopher and Lindsey are romantic and caring souls who met in college and reconnected years later to fall in love. Lindsey described their proposal as romantic and unexpected, saying, “I was living in Alaska and I flew back with our dog Layla to Houston to visit Chris for the Christmas holidays. He put a present under the tree for me and inside was a t-shirt for our dog that said, ‘Can we keep him?’ After I opened it, he proposed.” (Layla unfortunately couldn’t attend the wedding, but we managed to slip her into the wedding video. Keep an eye out for her!)
Christopher and Lindsay expected their wedding to fly by, so they wanted it caught on camera for them to look back and reminisce on. La Cantera Resort and Spa was the perfect setting for their incredible day. It allowed for their wedding to be outside, which is something Chris and Lindsey are super passionate about, and had plenty of space for their intimate ceremony. Blume Haus Florals decorated the venue with white hydrangeas with hints of pink and green. La Cantera is a gorgeous venue complete with accommodations where you can stay for up to four days. It has many amenities including golf courses, heated pools, restaurants, bars, and a luxury spa. They also host many activities for people with all different interests like paddle boarding, bingo, and smores at sunset.
The ceremony was moving and sentimental, partly because of the close friend who officiated it. Terra Vista Strings supplied beautiful music. The reception started off with Christopher and Lindsey’s grand entrance. The couple had their first dance and cut their cake, before dancing with all their guests to music by The Signature EvenTx Entertainment Inc. Everywhere guests danced and waved flashing light sticks around. Everything was one great big party.
The food at the resort is outstanding. The wedding menus are created by the talented chef Andrew Weissman. The food’s presentation was impressive and there was constant talk about how great the food was. Bird Bakery made an exquisite double-tiered cake. It was covered in splashes of bright colors and decorated with fresh flowers. They also had a golf-themed cake that many of the gold lovers in the bridal party enjoyed.
