Intimate Wedding at The Wildflower Barn | Ethan and Laura

Meant for Each Other

Ethan and Laura knew that this day would come ever since they had their second date and realized they would be together forever. Finding a wedding venue didn’t come as easy to this lovely couple. They came all the way from Wisconsin to Texas so they would have more reliable weather. Once they found The Wildflower Barn, they knew it had everything they needed. The Wildflower Barn is full of natural beauty; its 2000-square-feet of space is covered in wildflowers and a sprawling canopy of Texas oak trees. 

The Wildflower Barn also has a bridal suite that overlooks their butterfly and hummingbird garden, where the couple had their first look. Laura “simply refused” to discuss any details about her dress until their wedding day. Ethan knew she would look beautiful, but you can tell he was absolutely overcome with emotion when he saw his bride-to-be in her dress.

Together Forever

Ethan and Laura’s ceremony included two scripture readings by their mothers. The couple also wrote their own vows, which we got to see. Ethan wrote his in his car, while Laura wrote hers in the bridal suite. During the ceremony, the couple poured sand into a unity jar, as a wonderful testament to their love and marriage.

The reception took place inside the 1980s barn, which had plenty of space for their intimate wedding of about 30 guests. It was catered by Gebby’s BBQ and catering, which specializes in delicious homestyle Texas BBQ. There was a constant buzz in the room about how great the food was! After dinner everyone enjoyed some drinks and dancing. Joy and love filled the air as everyone danced the night away together. The night ended with a gorgeous sparkler send off underneath the Texas sky.
