Finding the Perfect Venue

Sam and Colleen wanted to find a unique venue for their wedding and their search ended at Mattie’s at Green Pastures. This incredible venue is surrounded by oak trees and inhabited by peacocks! The Marion Hall is 2,300 square feet with plenty of room for over 100 guests. It has space for a dance floor, a dining area, and cocktail hour.  For parties of 30 or fewer, the Lounge Room is a great space to host a cocktail party or dinner. If you’re looking for a more intimate setting, the Table Royale is the perfect space for smaller parties and dinners. 

Regardless of how you choose to use the space, Mattie’s has a little bit of something for everyone. If you’d like to connect with nature a bit more, they have an area for an outdoor ceremony. The oak trees and majestic peacocks really create the perfect romantic atmosphere. Sam and Colleen had a classic outdoor wedding with many touching moments, including the breaking of the glass.

When the Stars Align

The venue isn’t everything– crafting the best wedding possible requires teamwork. Verbena Floral dedicates a professional eye to picking the most complimentary flowers to match the venue and the wedding party’s outfits. Lola Beauty ATX, the makeup artist, intricately created a look to match the bride’s dress and bouquet. 

Looks aren’t everything either! The right music and some great food will keep everyone happy. Mattie’s provides dinner for all of the guests. Sam and Colleen had Sauce the Band provide music for the reception. Everyone absolutely loved it and the room was full of energy. The night ended in a dance party to remember.
