The Proposal

Matt took Caitlin and all three of their kids to an apple orchard in Pennsylvania. While they were picking honeycrisp apples, Matt waited until Caitlin and the kids were in just the right spot (with Caitlin’s mom hiding nearby to take pictures!) and pointed at one of the apple trees where he had stashed a ring box. He got down on one knee and asked the kids if it was okay to marry their mom. They responded with big happy smiles and said yes! Then, Matt asked Caitlin and the rest is history!

The Wedding

Caitlin & Matt wanted to have their wedding in Austin because most of Caitlin’s family was nearby. They chose to have their wedding at Mattie’s at Green Pastures, a beautiful 19th century venue located in the heart of Austin. They were drawn to Mattie’s because it’s only a few miles from where they met, and it feels like a little oasis in the city – plus they love live oaks!

During the ceremony, they did a warming of the rings prior to the ring exchange. The rings were passed around for friends and family to touch. It was an emotional and memorable moment that solidified the commitment that Caitlin & Matt were about to make.

Their love for each other is amazing, and evident by the way Matt looks at Caitlin. What began as a long-distance love has transformed into the family they always wanted.
